Last updated: April 2, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Acubia ("Service"), operated by Acubia ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") at acubia.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including practitioners who create prescriptions and patients who view them.
Description of Service
Acubia is a clinical tool that enables licensed healthcare practitioners to create, manage, and share exercise prescriptions with their patients via QR codes and secure links. The Service is intended as a clinical workflow tool — it does not provide medical diagnoses, replace clinical judgment, or constitute medical advice.
Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be a licensed or otherwise qualified healthcare practitioner to create a practitioner account.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@acubia.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
Practitioner Responsibilities
As a practitioner using Acubia, you agree to:
- Use the Service only for legitimate clinical purposes within your scope of practice.
- Ensure that exercise prescriptions are clinically appropriate for your patients.
- Obtain appropriate patient consent before using Acubia in your clinical workflow.
- Not use the Service to store full patient names, health card numbers, diagnoses, or other sensitive identifiers beyond what is required by the Service (patient initials only).
- Comply with all applicable healthcare privacy laws and regulations in your jurisdiction (including HIPAA in the United States, PIPEDA in Canada, and GDPR in the European Union).
- Revoke prescriptions promptly if a patient relationship ends or the prescription is no longer appropriate.
Subscription Plans and Billing
Acubia offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds may be available within 14 days of a charge at our discretion.
- Downgrading may result in loss of access to features associated with the higher tier.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Not Medical Advice
Important Disclaimer
The exercise content within Acubia is provided for informational and clinical workflow purposes only. Acubia does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The exercise library is intended to support — not replace — the clinical judgment of licensed healthcare professionals.
Patients should follow the guidance of their treating practitioner. Acubia is not responsible for any injury, adverse outcome, or clinical result arising from the performance of exercises prescribed through the Service.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, exercise library content, and branding, is owned by Acubia and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any clinical notes you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content to provide the Service.

You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our prior written consent.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content.
- Impersonate another practitioner or user.
- Use the Service to harass, intimidate, or cause harm to any person.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Acubia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification

Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email to registered practitioners. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
